How to create self-care rituals with pleasure and presence.

How many times have you felt like your days are flying by, as if you're always responding to everything and everyone... except yourself?
That's where rituals with pleasure come in. They aren't magic formulas, nor to-do lists to "make you feel better." They are small moments—simple, intentional—that bring you back to your body, to your breath, to what makes you feel good. And yes, they can (and should) involve pleasure.
Because taking care of yourself isn't just about resting. It's about feeling. It's about choosing, even if only for 5 minutes, to be present with yourself.
In the morning: it starts slowly.
You can continue waking up at the same time. But what if you took those 5 minutes just for yourself before getting into the rhythm of the world?
Perhaps it's sipping your tea or coffee calmly, gazing out the window. Or massaging your face with an oil you love. Or even dancing to a song that makes you smile—with your eyes closed, without anyone watching.
It's not what you do that matters, but how you do it. With intention. With pleasure.
During the day: pause and listen.
In the midst of the hustle and bustle, it's easy to forget that we exist from the head down. So, try to stop—even if only for 10 minutes.
Grab a notebook and write down what you feel. Or draw something. Or just take a deep breath with a drop of essential oil in your hands. Put your phone down. Close your eyes. Pay attention to your body.
These minutes are not a waste of time. They are a rescue.
At night: slow down with pleasure.
Before you go to bed, ask yourself: what would do me good right now ?
It could be a warm bath, with a lit candle and background music. It could be a sensory oil applied gently to the body. Or it could simply be lying down and letting your mind wander without guilt, without worrying about anything else.
Self-care is this: space. Choice. Intimacy with yourself.
What if you started today?
You don't need to change your entire routine. Choose a moment. A gesture. A pause. Something that feels good.
And remember: self-care doesn't have to be another obligation. It should be enjoyable, light, and yours.
