The architects' vision
We wanted to create a place of secrets and discovery. A safe environment where people can reconnect with themselves, explore curiosity, and maybe meet sides of themselves they didn't know before.

The Joy Spot was created in collaboration with Alcântara Architects , a Scandinavian architectural firm based in Lisbon.
From the outset, the challenge was clear: to create something that was much more than just a store. The result is a multifunctional space that combines a showroom, meeting rooms, workshops, and a cultural meeting point.
The architecture was designed as a gradual experience.
Upon entering, the space doesn't reveal itself immediately. Instead, it invites you to discover layers, rhythms, and atmospheres. The curved walls, the interplay of light and color, and the sensory interaction were designed to help you slow down, become aware of your body, and awaken intimacy with yourself.
To intensify this dimension, the lighting solutions were designed by João Marques, who translated the architectural vision into light atmospheres conceived to elevate the experience. Each spotlight, each intensity, and each transition was designed to accompany different states of presence, creating environments that oscillate between welcoming softness and bolder discovery.
Thus, architecture and light merge in a constant dialogue, amplifying the feeling of mystery, comfort, and curiosity in every corner of the space.
Heavy curtains and open partitions create a sense of hidden secrets, small universes to explore. The upper floor houses the more intimate session rooms, while the lower floor opens into a flexible and luminous space dedicated to workshops and collective sharing. With translucent curtains and lighting effects, this room adapts to different levels of privacy and intensity, allowing encounters ranging from self-esteem and body awareness to the exploration of new forms of intimacy.
