Exploration Sessions at The Joy Spot

Exploration & Experiences

We want you to awaken your senses and enjoy your pleasure with more presence and freedom. That’s why we’ve created different types of sessions — solo or as a couple — so you can follow your curiosity, explore your body and discover new ways to connect with yourself and with your partner.

Before your session

Before your Session

"Sensual, not sexual"

"body positive"

Our goal isn't to make you look "like this" or "this way," but rather to celebrate your body as it is: your genuine smiles, thick legs, cellulite, and belly. We promise it will be a pleasant surprise when you realize how beautiful you are just as you are right now.

Our session is not based on sexual themes. Instead, we want to explore the innate beauty of the female body outside of the sexual connotation usually attributed to it. Your session will only be as revealing as you want it to be.

FAQs

  • We encourage you to bring at least 3 outfits that you feel comfortable and confident in.

It doesn't have to be just lingerie; it could be a shirt, a dress, or whatever you feel makes sense for you. We suggest basic lingerie in neutral colors among these.

We also have some lingerie/corsets/bodysuits in the space that you can use, however sizes may be limited.

  • Regarding your hair, we advise you to wear it however you feel most confident (whether natural or straightened). Put on makeup.

Basic and natural, like you use every day, and bring your foundation, concealer, and lipstick in case you need to touch up during the session. Also bring

An elastic band or a hook always comes in handy!

*If you are interested in a professional makeup service on the day of the session, please contact us.*

  • Our post-production is very simple; we only edit the lighting and tones of the photographs and disguise anything temporary on your body (pimples, wounds, dark circles). In other words, anything you could easily conceal with makeup and/or that might not even be there in a month. We can also disguise scars or stretch marks if you request it.

However, we will never modify the volume and shape of your body, as that goes against the purpose of our work.

  • We don't want you to overthink poses or worry about them on the day of your session. Rita will always be by your side guiding you. Above all, we want to capture your essence and we don't need to recreate elaborate poses.

However, some poses bring empowerment! There's a certain magic in seeing yourself in poses you're not used to seeing yourself in every day.

We've included some references to inspire you.

Get ready

1.

Take as much time as possible to take care of yourself!! Drink plenty of water, and hydrate your entire body in the days leading up to the session.

2.

You don't need to wax or shave before the session if it's something you don't usually do/don't want to do. But if you decide to do it, do it 3 days beforehand.

3.

Don't go to the gym the day before your session.

4.

On the day of the session, avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes that leave marks on the skin (bras, elasticated trousers, etc.).

5.

Eat before the session! This is very important.

You need energy to land for 2 hours. If feeling bloated makes you insecure, I recommend avoiding the following foods on the day of the session: legumes, carbonated drinks, foods containing gluten, milk and dairy products.

6

Take some time to connect with some self-love. Sit down and write down everything you like about yourself. Your best qualities that you want to be immortalized in your portraits.
